“After having a brain tumour my husband can no longer taste or smell but still likes to take me out for a meal. He likes the textures of different foods. Today he had the Nottinghamshire pie he loved it, said it’s the best one he’s ever had. It looked delicious. A lot of tender steak, Stilton and crumble topping with gravy. I had the salmon it too was tasty. Always friendly here with good service and good food.”

“The Blubell is a proper local pub with four lovely well-equipped rooms to stay. We often stay here when visiting family in the local area. The rooms are spacious and clean with everything provided, including tea and coffee, a pint of milk in your own fridge, and a continental breakfast. There is excellent homemade food available in the pub (but you need to remember to book in advance) and it's a great place for an evening with a pint, chatting to the very friendly staff and locals. The dominos board might even make an appearance. Recommended 100%”
