La Storia is not only a story about tasty, well-prepared, fresh food, it's mostly a story about food made from scratches based on ingredients of excellent quality, meals bursting with flavour made with Italian heart and soul.\n\nIf you're craving for some Italian classics, with a little bit of twist, but still with a note of home made food like made by nonna (nan), this is the place you would like to visit and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.\n\nFrom the moment you walk in, you're greeted by genuinely lovely staff who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They are all very friendly and accommodating, nothing is too much of a problem for them. They are happy to go through the menu options with you, advising and explaining some dishes, they're happy to pair your wine (and the wine selection is great) and they are very attentive to dietary restrictions.\n\nAlong the regular menu, the place offers specialties as well. There are some options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals as well.\n\nIt's a wonderful place to go with your friends or family, with a very relaxed atmosphere.\n\nIt's been a fantastic birthday experience for me and the staff went above and beyond to make this evening special for me. I am hoping next time I visit La Storia I get a chance to taste famous limoncello tiramisu.

25-27 Bridgford Rd, West Bridgford, NottinghamUnusually, for a meal out, we couldn't fault anything! The staff were lovely. caring and friendly without being intrusive...just right. Each food item, through all the courses, was absolutely delicious. The wait time between courses was just right as it was not rushed but not slow either. The food tasted home-made rather than bought in. We stopped at the restaurant at lunchtime whilst on a walk and were pleased we managed to get a table. The location in Bridgford is great and the atmosphere of the place overall is lovely. There were enough other people there to create atmosphere but there is plenty of space between tables and it did not feel overcrowded. There is a lunchtime menu which I think is at a reduced price to the main menu but both were available. The value of our meal was good considering the very high standard of everything. Our drinks and coffee were excellent and our puddings were a real treat as was everything overall.

17 Central Ave, West Bridgford, NottinghamYumacha is excellent. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Fabulous food with lots of variety. They have the best prawn toast we've had anywhere! We've had many wonderful meals here. We went at lunchtime and they were very welcoming to our small child too.

Compton Acres, West Bridgford, NottinghamBooked a table at The Apple Tree, Compton Acres for Christmas dinner. We were a group of 10 adults and a 4 year old. Arrived 15 minutes before our booking time but they were able to seat us immediately if we wanted, we did. The food was lovely, served hot with little waiting time. My only issue was I did not get any stuffing or pigs in blankets but I'm sure if I had pointed it out, they would have got them for me. We had 3 courses and there was ample food on the plate even without these 2 items. Very friendly, helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble and the price for a 3 course Christmas meal was reasonable. Would definitely return not only for Christmas dinner but also if we decide to go out to eat.

The food has been perfect and good portions even when you order a smaller size . 2 Central Ave, West Bridgford, NottinghamVisit here about twice every week. I like the coffee. You can sit outside even in wintertime. Tables and chairs at the front and around the side, I sit depending on the sunshine direction when outside.
Westbridgford loves car parking charges, wardens patrol, you will never escape a ticket, so I either cycle or bus walk in.
This coffee shop is very popular but I never goes without a seat and table.
Parking: Watch out for parking wardens on a mission.
Kid-friendliness: Kids do come in to drink coffee then go hyper.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes ramp at side entrance.

The Trent Bridge Inn - JD Wetherspoon
2 Radcliffe Rd, West Bridgford, NottinghamVisited the Trent Bridge Inn during a lively match day for The Hundred, and the atmosphere was electric with cricket fans soaking up the vibe near the iconic Trent Bridge Cricket Ground. The pub’s sporty decor, packed with cricket memorabilia, really adds to the experience. It’s spacious with plenty of seating, including booths and an outdoor area, perfect for soaking in the match-day buzz.
I ordered the all-day brunch, which was tasty and hit the spot, though it took about 30 minutes to arrive (the staff were upfront about the wait time when I ordered, which I appreciated). The app ordering wasn’t available, so I had to order at the bar, which was a bit hectic given the crowd, but the staff were friendly and managed well under pressure. The drink selection, especially the real ales, was solid, and prices were as budget-friendly as you’d expect from a Wetherspoon.
The only slight downside was the busy bar and a few uncleared tables, but that’s par for the course on a match day. Overall, a great spot for a meal and pint if you’re catching a game or just want a piece of Nottingham’s cricket history. I’ll be back!

Arrived to collect the food and realised I forgot to order the mint yoghurt which the gentleman sorted no problem. Food was fresh and hot. So nice and safe to say I won't be looking elsewhere now
