We called the White Lion before we went for Sunday Lunch in advance as we have a very nervous dog, so we asked them if there was somewhere we could sit outside, out of the way. They were very busy but so accommodating!! We decided to have a couple of drinks but not to stay and eat as our Lab was getting nervous. Fantastic food, entertainment and drinks. We went on a Wednesday for some food and quiz and was a brilliant night. Brought our dog along which staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Chose streak and ale pie and it did not disappoint. Chips were fantastic and portion was very generous wish I could have fitted a dessert in! This was the chosen venue for drinks & buffet after an Uncles funeral today .I found out the carpark is fairly small with very tight parking spaces ,infact I decided to park off site in the end along with another relative as i didn't want to struggle getting out of my car or risk my car getting a dent .Inside I found the pub very clean with plenty of available tables in different areas.The staff on duty were very pleasant indeed when serving drinks behind the bar or glass collecting.Theres...read full review
