Top notch. Only had a drink as we were muddy and walking through. Warm friendly lovely ladies behind the bar. That's what hospitality is all about. Sadly same could not be said for a number of the pubs in
Despite the fact that André Chiang wasn't our chef (there is even an olive tree growing there in front of the entrance ?), but the dinner was simply amazing. The food was devine and every dish was a pleasant surprise!

I was at the carpenters Arms with a friend .we had the prawn toast and whitebait to start which was so fresh and crisp.The mains of seabream and mussel chowder is the best I've tasted.it was followed by a very lovely apple and blackberry crumble plenty of fruit and lovely home made ice cream which we share.All in all a lovely lunch.The service was no intrusive but also felt looked after by Holly and Kate.Parking: Enough parking for 25 car's
