Lovely pub. Staff very friendly and helpful. The reason not 5 stars is because I ordered the bacon and goat cheese and red onion baguette But I got given the chicken bacon and mayonnaise. Was OK but not what I ordered. And the chips was amazing. We called in mid afternoon. Nice old fashioned feeling pub. Dog friendly. We had a yummy butty each - mine coronation chicken & hubbie had a fish butty. We had a portion of chips, the dog enjoyed them immensely. Pint of IPA & pint of Abbots were excellent. Just the right temperature. Definitely call back again if we are in the area.

Nice cosy old style pub downstairs with a nostalgic fire place - the real deal not electric ones... Nice friendly staff. We only had drinks so couldn't comment on food but saw many happy dinners ?Worth a snug with warm tea or firey whisk on any cold night!
