Fantastic pub and a great selection of beers and spirits. Independent and very friendly owners. Chris is well known in Oxford and rightly so.Great locals pub. Worth going to at least once or twice if you are in the area.
This pub wins CAMRA City Pub of The Year time and time again. That's no accident as the beer in here is clearly a labour of love. Great and regularly changing range but above all, superbly kept and priced beers. Added to that the Masons has a big and lovely garden, a proper friendly local vibe, but it always comes back to the superb beer for me. One of the best pubs for miles around. A nice quiet hidden gem. Proper trappist & Belgian beers, real ales, an unbeatable cosy home from home. Landlord Chris is a great bloke. Cheers!
