One of our favorite bars in Oxford. Good beers on tap with a good menu and lots of fun different rooms / spaces to choose from. They also have outdoor seating for the warmer months. Nice, clean and bigger bathrooms (a rarity for old English pubs.)
Best pub food I have ever tried in oxford. The pie was great together with the camembert cheese and sourdough bread. Fish and chips nice and crunchy too.A side note, it's a little bit too dark in the tables at the back of the main dining area.

We had a great time at the Royal Oak. Quite busy at Sunday lunchtime, but not overcrowded. The staff were friendly and professional. We had fish & chips, and the steak and ale pie - and both were excellent. A nice way to spend a (rainy) Sunday afternoon :-)
