Had a great meal this evening which exceeded expectations for Wetherspoons. I do believe it has improved so much recently. A grand building with high ceilings, historic character and plenty of natural light.
Had Katsu grilled chicken and rice. A fine, no frills pub. Lively, a little loud for my personal preference, but still thoroughly enjoyable. Food was served quickly and was roasting hot when it arrives. Worth dropping in if you're passing.
