My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous lunch at the Fish Shop, Ballater. It was our first visit and we will certainly be going back. Our first visit to this beautiful restaurant and definitely not the last. The restaurant is beautifully furnished and has a nice casual feel. The food was exceptional. We had crab crumpets and scallops to start. The crumpets were amazing and could have eaten those all day. Scallops were perfectly cooked. For mains we had the lobster ? pasta. This restaurant was on our must do while visiting the area. So glad we did - wow the food was amazing. We ordered a wide range from the snacks, starters and mains (unfortunately there was no room for dessert) Can certainly recommend the tempura oyster, the crab crumpet ( the crumpet was amazing) the mussels, the faggot and we had the fresh lobster - everything tasted gorgeous and was really well presented.
