Wester Balgedie, KinrossThe menu is creative and well made. Fairly quick service, really nice staff, and in a stunning location. It's 50 minutes from us, and we live in Edinburgh so have really excellent options nearby, but we will be going back.
Vegetarian options: One vegetarian main, and a pasta dish that can be made vegetarian. But it is a small and well balanced menu, and I don't think a third main veggie option would work, really. And the cauliflower fritters were so good.

Loch, Findatie Kinross, LevenThe ladies in the cafe here are just the loveliest people. Such a genuinely warm and happy welcome - to go with fab food & great coffee. Marvellous walks and fab views too. Will put a marker on the map to come here every time we are passing. Thank you! E x

Zaks Fish Bar
7 Benarty Square, Ballingry, LochgellyFood that was delivered was nothing short of a disgrace. We called to complain only to be sent another bag of muck. Please see photos. Sausage supper was burnt black and so dry it had split wide open, the chips were green and grey, and were clearly not fresh. We got a pizza that was burnt, and onion rings that were rotten, when we moved the batter we could see the onions were black inside. To claim best fish and chips for 35 years is a hell of a statement when you are happy to send out the sh*t to us. I hope you tried the food as I sent it back with your driver. Won't be back!
