Took my family here for dinner for the first time after hearing it was now under new ownership - firstly the Christmas decorations were fantastic - I have to say I used to depend on the Coca Cola truck to tell me Christmas has started - well now it’s The Ship - we had the pleasure of being served by the manager who was lovely and very accommodating towards the kids! The food - well we all had different but I have to say the garlic prawn are what won it for me! I will say though all food was wonderful and the portions were brilliant. Will 100% be returning (without the car so I can have a wee drink) but honestly a wonderful experience all around and 110% recommend.

Lovely friendly staff a nice relaxed atmosphere with a great view of the forth estuary to enjoy while you eat.The food was spectacular the only thing I could pick on is the lack of a sweet potatoe alternative for chips, a minor point on the basis of preference.Everything was perfectly prepared in generous portions and the pastry that contained the chicken and ham pie of the week was the perfect combination of buttery and flakey to compliment the meaty filling in both flavour and texture.I have every intention of returning for another taste

Special mention to the little boy with his little shop. I have bad social anxiety and he talked to me the whole time and was showing me his toys. It made me feel less anxious and really cheered me up. Food was great, generous portion sizes and fast service :)

I love a good chippy and this was undoubtedly the best haggis supper I have ever had. The spicy haggis was cooked perfectly, the chips were again cooked perfectly and the lashings of brown sauce just finished it all off. The service was fast and efficient which made the experience all the more enjoyable. Thank you so much.
