Fife Lodge Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at Fife Lodge. Our room was beautiful with the most comfortable bed we slept on during our trip around Scotland. We had a fantastic dinner in their restaurant the night we arrived, & enjoyed our breakfast the following morning. The staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. 10/10

The Shore Inn

Really nice to see a freindly old-fashioned pub still open these days. Most of them are trying to be wetherspoons or look like a dentists waiting room but this place still looks like a pub is ment to look. Staff are great it's always full of families feels like a big living room. The boat building workshop next door has a glass front too so you can see all the progress of boats being built.

Portsoy Ice Cream

Oh wow,what an amazing place,nothing is too much trouble, the staff are amazing, great service and terrific icecream, definitely recommend and definitely go again

Market Arms

We stopped here on a trip with my wife and inlaws and we were so pleased we did.

Proper traditional pub, great food and amazing service.

Our waitress was amazing. Our food was fresh and homemade. We couldnt have asked for more. I wish we had our dog so she could have ordered from the doggy menu.

We came on this trip to make memories and you will most definitely be one of them

Garden Arms Hotel

Very hospitable pub, the locals make you feel very welcome. Beers are ok, shame there’s no cask but keg is fine. The best haddock I have ever tasted. We will definitely come back.

Freddies Chip Shop

One of the best, if not the best Fish Supper I've had. Excellent value. Quantity great. The taste and quality was fantastic. Id be there every other week if I lived closer. One to remember.

Indian Garden Restaurant and Takeaway

Have had takeaways before but 1st time sitting in. Very pleased with our meal tonight, we both eat & cook a lot of Indian food & thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered. Service was spot on & everyone friendly, we’ll be back.

Castle Bar

A great atmosphere from start to finish. Very kind and friendly people.

Great service and very affordable variety of drinks, especially some of my favourites considering I like a wee rum.

Thank you again to everyone there both the customers who made us feel welcome and to the team behind the scenes who looked after us and didn’t skip a single beat all night.

When we’re up Banff way again, will definitely be making a stop there.

Seafield Arms

We were at our friends 50th celebration on Saturday the 19th July. We were treated to the best service ever. The young ladies serving were busy but the service we got was the best we have ever received. They were pleasant and nothing was too much bother and I can't express how busy the Hotel was as the Gala had been on that day. The food was top notch and everyone's food was hot and well presented. The young ladies are a credit to the hotel so friendly and everyone was as important my husband and I were so impressed well done we will be visiting again and very soon. Also the prices were really reasonable we had such a lovely evening Thank-you, Ari and Jim Watson

Really beautiful, well stocked, fresh bakery. Most importantly, really reasonably priced. The young lad serving was very pleasant, professional and made a lovely cup of coffee. I would very highly recommend anyone to pop in here when in Banff.

Cherry Tree Cafe and Bistro

We went there for breakfast the first time we were in Banff and had breakfast burritos. They were big and so was the taste. Recently we went for lunch got the Mac and cheese I got the crispy chicken wrap. Yummy!!! Big helpings and excellent prices. Very bright and welcoming atmosphere. Kids and dogs welcomed. The staff was warm and friendly. The service was prompt.

Harbucks Cafe

The ladies who were working yesterday were fantastic! They served us quickly and delivered pancakes and coffee fast. Payment was cash only in a donation box. The prices are 'suggestions' so you can pay less or more than the list but prices are so cheap anyway. £3.50 for a pancake with toppings, £2 odd for coffee. I would definitely recommend getting more than 1 topping since the pancake is sizeable.

I got caramel sauce and strawberries on and the portion was spot on, my partner got just chocolate sauce and it looked a bit silly in comparison ? pancake was a solid 8/10.

For how busy it was, there weren't enough seats, and it was quite loud. A very big contrast to everywhere else in the local area. But it's popular for a reason!

All donations seem to go to local charities so I'd recommend visiting here at least once.

Castleview Bed and Breakfast

Just stayed the one night, however we wish it had been for longer. Our accommodation was spotless and very cosy. A nice touch by the hosts, Nick and Mo, to provide toiletries for the shower room, as well as milk and tea bags. Nice and quiet ( we’re used to gulls ), central location, with the harbour and beach 5 minute walk away. Thoroughly recommended. Dek, Prim and Storm the dog.

Happy Palace

Had a lovely take away from here.. probably one of the nicest in a long time. Food was very tasty, chicken and the beef was so tender! Definitely ordering again
We did wait a bit, but it was so worth the wait.. no wonder, it's busy busy with other orders ?

The Boyndie Visitor Centre (Boyndie Trust)

Very nice place friendly staff good food and has a nice selection of plants for sale. Although it was busy when we were there there was only a very short time till we were served. Finding the abandoned ww2 airfield was a little tricky. There are some signs but getting to the control tower was difficult without using the satellite view on Google maps. All in all a good place to eat and then explore.

Rex’s Kitchen

Highly recommend Rex’s, went in by last night, the staff polite, quick service Had a Chicken Chow Mein, Beef Chow Mein, curry sauce and fried rice, it is the BEST Chow Mein I’ve had, well priced as well. Going to visit Banff more now!!

On holiday here and ordered a munchie box (not had one since I lived in Scotland 11 years ago!) Didn't disappoint, service was quick, chappie was really friendly and food was amazing...may have to try and get a kebab in before I leave after Christmas x As a visitor, I would full recommend to anyone else holidaying in the area

Home Bakery

Situated on Banff High Street, this is a small shop, however it has a fantastic range of breads, pastries, cakes and assorted patisserie. It is easily within walking distance of St Marys car park and bus stops are situated close to the shop whether entering Banff from the east or west. The shop staff are friendly, efficient and always willing to help with any queries. I would throughly recommend a visit to sample this bakers fare.

Crown Chippy

I travel from Birmingham every week and we both think the food is absolutely incredible. Fresh and hot fish. Cannot recommend this chippy enough. And the price, well I would definitely pay double what I paid for our food. Absolutely amazing, we will be returning. The lady who serves us was lovely and it really makes a difference.

Station Hotel, Portsoy

Spent 2 nights here, and wouldn't hesitate to come back, the breakfast was hot and plentiful, plus the buffet bar was good before I had my full Scottish breakfast, clean room, the decor may not be up to modern IKEA look, but I personally liked it as it was, with a hotel comfy feel about, I didn't have the evening meal as we were off exploring the area, however I did see people having a meal and it looked nice, all the staff I met were friendly and very helpful, a big thumbs up from me ?

LightHouse Fish Bar, Pizza and Kebab house

Good food and prepared to order. The only reason I deducted a star is its cash only, and I don't carry cash. However, there is a cash machine right outside.

Real Tandoori

Ordered off their website.
Online ordering is confusing as you have to tick No to deselect ingredients but ticking no to 'No Salad' removes the salad when you'd expect it no to.
We will know for next time and just ring up with the order instead.

Other than that, the food was lovely.

Bridgeview Restaurant

I think for the price it would maybe nicer to have better quality ingredients. And a bit more care gone into the way things are cooked ie a hard poached egg. Won’t stop me coming back, just expected something a little different at breakfast. M
The pancakes are massive but very dry.

The lunchtime however was amazing.
