Small, friendly and popular Cafe serving what I consider is the best Cullen Skink..not surprising they were 2025 Cullen Skink champions for the second time. Also do other tasty looking soups, breakfasts, home baking..

Was there on Tuesday 29th October 2024 with my adoptive nephew who is in his teens while I am in my 70s. We had the Cullen Skink (which is a meal in itself) only quibble with the Skink is that the soup could have been thicker but it by no means spoiled it. We also had the battered Haddock and both of us were defeated and unable to finish the meal. if you want good food with very generous portions this is the place for you. All staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We will return.

If you're looking for a wild night in a quiet coastal town, look no further than the Seafield Inn, Portknockie! This is a back-to-basics pub where you can sit back and relax away from the noise of the maddening crowds. If you're looking for a fancy wine bar, you are in the wrong place; this is a good old, solid pub with no bells or whistles, just good people enjoying their evening.

I recently stumbled in and was met with an unexpected evening filled with unforgettable characters.

First up, there’s Allan, the relaxed and fun barman. He’s a good laugh and tells the worst jokes, but you can’t help but laugh anyway. With his great sense of humor and laid-back vibe, he made ordering drinks a delight and kept the good times flowing.

Next, we had Covid Collin, a nickname given to him by the town. He probably hates it, but part of the joy of living in a small town is knowing they have a long memory and won’t let you forget when you introduce a pandemic to the town but we thought he was a top bloke who definitely kept the laughs coming.

Then there’s Ewan, the bag man with his fabulous ball bag. Yes, you read that right! His confidence in showcasing his “unique accessory” was as impressive as the pub’s selection of ales. Trust me, you won’t forget Ewan anytime soon!

Overall, it was a night of hilarity, great conversation, and unexpected surprises. Just be warned, the next morning I had a hangover that would kill a brown dog,

I highly recommend the Seafield Inn for a good time and a few good laughs.

Had crispy lemon chicken and egg fried rice tonight. It was ready for the time we ordered it, piping hot and absolutely delicious. Easily enough for 2 people and great value for money.
