Stop for a double expresso and very tasty/delicious homemade fruit scones, lucky to sit outside in front of the port, with a lovely sunshine.
All the food looked great.

The Old Kirk Cafe/Bistro
Church St, Fordyce, BanffThis countryside Kirk is delightful both outside and inside with a rustic charm. The food is exemplary and should not be missed. My seafood skewers were as fresh as it gets. The service was relaxed and friendly. Highly recommended.

Aspire Restaurant
Aspire Restaurant, Seafield Terrace, Portsoy, BanffUnfortunately the staffing levels spoiled the experience. Only two staff were looking after the whole place and while one was very capable and always doing three jobs at once her colleague was obviously quite new and still needing guidance. This made the senior person's job almost impossible as the venue got more and more busy. You will have by now noticed I have not mentioned food. It was ordinary and the staffing issues were too distracting to allow enjoyment of the food. Owners need to realise too few staff running around constantly trying to keep up and failing does not create a relaxed enjoyable atmosphere. Our first time here and will look elsewhere before returning.

Portsoy Chinese Takeaway
7 Seafield St, Portsoy, BanffSuperfast service, piping hot tasty food and lots of it. A short walk from the Links Caravan site so highly recommended to anyone like ourselves not familiar with the area and using that campsite.
