Sandyhill Road, BanffOur fourth stop on a road trip of Scotland. Although no lift to the rooms, we were able to partake in the stairs. A grand escapade to be sure. The room was great and gave us room to manoeuvre with a stroller, should it be necessary. Lovely views over the grounds. The meals, of which we has three, lunch, dinner and breakfast, we're of a high standard (our booking included breakfast) and was our best breakfast on our trip. Staff were very helpful friendly and very pleasant to converse with. Wednever been to Banff before so to visit there again, this establishment would be our goto place.

Portsoy Ice Cream
24 Seafield St, Portsoy, BanffRecently we had the pleasure of Portsoy Ice cream at our function. It was a real treat -to excuse the pun. We had a wide rage of ages and oh my did this go down well with everyone. From their set up which was quick to packing away which was painless I honestly can’t fault my experience. The staff were just lovely and the icecream even more so. There was something for everyone and definitely a talking point for the next wee while. Thank you so much.

Market Arms
5 High Shore, BanffAmazing little pub in the heart of Banff, we had food upstairs which was fantastic then went downstairs and had a good few drinks with all the locals. We were made to feel extremely welcome by all the staff and everybody else, we spent hours chatting to anybody and everybody in a great pub with great atmosphere. Definitely pay this place a visit if you’re in Banff.

The Shore Inn
88A Church St, Portsoy, BanffReally nice to see a freindly old-fashioned pub still open these days. Most of them are trying to be wetherspoons or look like a dentists waiting room but this place still looks like a pub is ment to look. Staff are great it's always full of families feels like a big living room. The boat building workshop next door has a glass front too so you can see all the progress of boats being built.

Seafield Arms
5 Chapel Street, Whitehills, BanffThe humour of the billboards/chalkboards just around the corner initially drew us in. We were warmly welcomed into the bar with the dog to allow us to relax and order lunch. The traditional look and additional humour of the notices in the bar area added to the atmosphere. The service was great and the food was delicious. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the sardines and rice from the dog menu. Brilliant wee place. Would highly recommend ? ? ? ? ?

Indian Garden Restaurant and Takeaway
27 Bridge Street, BanffJust had one of their chicken biryani takeaways. Quite simply it was the best I’ve ever had. Subtle spices, tender chicken, vegetable curry sauce - absolutely brilliant. Staff professional and friendly too. I’ll be back.

The Boyndie Visitor Centre (Boyndie Trust)
The Old School, Boyndie, BanffWe've lived 12 miles away from this little gem and finally, after 12 years, got round to calling in. What a lovely place! Lots of interesting 'shops within a shop' with a variety of quality goods on offer - knitwear, handbags, gifts, soaps, confectionery, honey, books, bird & wildlife food and feeders ...and plenty more. Nothing I saw struck me as overly expensive and that includes the restaurant which serves home made fare and coffee which is actually hot, like it should be (a star for that alone)! The staff were friendly but were mainly in the restaurant, there was no one constantly on the prowl like you get in some places which meant that browsing the shops was an easy comfortable experience.
We'll be returning as we didn't have time to check out the garden centre or the walks in the grounds. See you all again soon!

Castleview Bed and Breakfast
27 Castle St, BanffJust stayed the one night, however we wish it had been for longer. Our accommodation was spotless and very cosy. A nice touch by the hosts, Nick and Mo, to provide toiletries for the shower room, as well as milk and tea bags. Nice and quiet ( we’re used to gulls ), central location, with the harbour and beach 5 minute walk away. Thoroughly recommended. Dek, Prim and Storm the dog.

3 Duncan St, BanffHighly recommend Rex’s, went in by last night, the staff polite, quick service Had a Chicken Chow Mein, Beef Chow Mein, curry sauce and fried rice, it is the BEST Chow Mein I’ve had, well priced as well. Going to visit Banff more now!!

4 Lusylaw Rd, BanffI travel from Birmingham every week and we both think the food is absolutely incredible. Fresh and hot fish. Cannot recommend this chippy enough. And the price, well I would definitely pay double what I paid for our food. Absolutely amazing, we will be returning. The lady who serves us was lovely and it really makes a difference.

Excellent and quick delivery service, still warm on arrival.
DELICIOUS fish and chips for £11, absolutely worth every penny!!! And the strawberry cheesecake, yum!???

Station Hotel, Portsoy
22 Seafield Street, Portsoy, BanffThis was a perfect stay for us. The location is awesome, in walking distance of everything in this adorable town. There is street parking and a free lot near by. The wifi was great. The people were super helpful. A few notes... There isn't really a five person room (the booking website was a little glitchy). There isn't a fridge in the room, but there are very affordable food options just across the street.

Bridgeview Restaurant
13 Old Market Pl, BanffI think for the price it would maybe nicer to have better quality ingredients. And a bit more care gone into the way things are cooked ie a hard poached egg. Won’t stop me coming back, just expected something a little different at breakfast. M
The pancakes are massive but very dry.
The lunchtime however was amazing.
