The Blackbird is a veritable oasis in Carradale. The young couple who run it are friendly, chatty and the home baking they offer is excellent ?! Whether you go for the soup, the cakes or the scones you know it's home made and of great quality and taste. It's dog friendly too which is a BIG plus given the lack of dog friendly cafes on the Kintyre Peninsula. We noticed a lot of local clientele use the Blackbird, always a good sign. Beautiful little spot, made to feel super welcome, and the coffees and cakes were exactly what we wanted ? thoroughly recommend the fruit scones, which come with a fabulous raspberry jam and lashings of clotted cream. My partner had the cranachan cake, which also looked amazing.

Popped in today during a bike ride down to Carradale and had the most delicious scones plus great tea and coffee. Very welcoming staff / owners and nice seating area outside. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
