Lovely homecooked food. The steak pie and the chicken & ham pie were delicious. We didn't get to try the many cakes on offer but they looked amazing. Oh! And the Douglas tartan carpet was a nice touch!!!
Great place, updated menu since last visit, good selection of food on offer. Well pleased all round, very tasty food, reasonably priced, very good staff. Definitely calling in again when next in castle Douglas.

Food is fantastic for the price. Staff are great. Had the smaller of the cooked breakfasts and couldn't fault it, note that the toast is included. Loved the haggis and the black pudding - these weren't 'greasy' as can be the case elsewhere.I also enjoyed the coffee (I'm a bit precious about my brew)If in area, would deffo go back
