A little disappointing. The ‘atmosphere’ is negatively affected by the perspex bandit (or more likely Covid) screens lining the counter. Not terribly welcoming. The ladies taking and preparing orders were cheerful and busily efficient but the food … well - fish, chips and peas was the order. Came across this chippy on our way home to Newcastle. Shop looked very clean and food was cooked fresh to out order. The 2 lady’s working in the shop seemed lovely very chatty. We got battered haggis, chips curry sauce then a fish and it was beautiful. The first time we’ve had battered haggis and it was amazing! Definitely the best chippy we have been to in a long time. Fantastic fish & chips cooked to order. Lovely crispy battery cooked to perfection. Good size portions and not greasy. Never had a less than perfect order. Staff are always friendly & efficient
