I love Chinese food but have been sorely disappointed by even the quite well-rated Chinese restaurants in Edinburgh. I didn't even know that the Waterloo Bar offered Chinese food, but it came up on Deliveroo, and I was hoping the food would be edible, but certainly did NOT expect it to be absolutely delicious. I told my step-siblings an embarrassing story about myself that occurred at Six Points Pub in Bloomfield, NJ, at this fine establishment. Truly a great space to do so. The barkeep was kind enough to not act as though he heard every single work -- much appreciated. Hours are a bit weird (closes at 21:00 on Tuesdays), but it was a good place to stop for a few pints after dinner before heading to the Christmas market.

The bar is located a short distance away from Calton Hill which we had just visited We decided to pop in here for some refreshments following our visit to Calton Hill and on our return journey towards Princess Street.
