Lovely meal out with friends. Wouldn't have found this place as its off a wee side street but it was recommended to us and very glad it was! I had steak pie which was a huge serving for the price. Lovely pasty and large chunks of meat in gravy. My friend had the mac and cheese which she loved and considering she is very picky that was impressive. First time back to the Queen Street tavern since re-openig for lunch.Not a massive menu but I think this is the way to go as the quality of the food was first class. better quality than quantity.The waitress was very friendly and good at her job its obvious the restaurant is needing a bit of TLC but there is definitely improvement since my last visit.I wish the new landlord every success.

For the meals I would give 4.5 for the bar good service always welcoming worth a visit- looks like another great pub will be closing its doors this week. Now under new management. Hopefully it is getting there looking promising.
