We had a fantastic lunch at the Ship today..Thursday 26th October 2023.We have visited the Ship a few times over the last 15 years and we have never been disappointed.Friendly ,mannered staff..lovely clean surroundings and wonderful food.The owner is also a lovely host.Hopefully we will be back.Parking: Parking was available at the premises.
It was a cold and rainy day in early October. We were tourists from the USA just wandering the roads in our rental car.. I told my husband that I just wanted a warm fire and a nice drink to ease my dreary wet self. We decided to try The Ship and to my surprise… there was my fire. Great place, very friendly staff. We both opted for a big pie. The pastry was so buttery and delicious. We had steak pie and a vegetarian pie.For dessert, the largest slice of chocolate cake you have ever seen and a Tunnocks Ice Cream Sundae. Both absolutely delicious!Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from.
