Recently in Kirkwall and was looking for somewhere with some character for coffee and cake. This cafe from the outside looked as if it fitted the bill. However, although we did have coffee/tea and cake we felt that the lady behind the counter was rather unwelcoming and not very friendly. A cheery smile would have been nice. Would not return.
Was in Kirkwall collecting my BRP documents, when I decided to stop into the Cafe for breakfast. Very friendly staff, affordable pricing, and tasty food. Definitely a lovely local cafe.

The pomona is a quiet and warm place for eating and the food is great.My only real issue is the tables are abit of a squeeze to get into and the decor feels a little dated but apart from that its great.
