Black Bull Hotel, 2B Montgomerie St, Tarbolton, MauchlineWe stayed here as we had a wedding close by. The whole experience was fantastic! The girl on reception was extremely helpful, she arranged a taxi for us there and back.\nThe room was large, very clean and comfortable. It had everything you need. The decor was also beautiful. We had a few drinks in the pub and it was so cosy and staff were welcoming. We had dinner and breakfast and cannot fault the food or service, it was big portions, food was fresh and cooked perfectly. Again, amazing service, they even made me an Aperol Spritz. We had a great sleep too. Breakfast was delicious and again excellent customer service. \nI honestly cannot fault this place, we have stayed in a lot of hotels and this was better than some 5 star hotels. We are looking at re-booking as we had such a lovely time. I would highly recommend the restaurant, pub and hotel. 5 ⭐

3 Kilmarnock Rd, MauchlinePopped in on Saturday morning and what a joy this place is. Dog friendly, human friendly and catered for my gluten free needs. Freshly prepared delicious food and inexpensive. I’ll be back soon. Thanks Castle Cafe ❤️

It has been over 5yrs since we last visited The Fairburn Hotel. We revisted the hotel restaurant to see if has kept that wonderful experience the first time we ate there. It was a raining evening, we waited a few minutes as the staff wasn't anywhere to be seen, luckily after a while wondering into the bar and restaurant we was spotted by a staff and seated promptly.
The hot drinks machine wasn't working which was a bit disappointing as we really wanted a hot drinks after being all wet from the rain. We browse the menu and was told the specials of the day. We chose the Grassington duck and the goats cheese burger. The burger was lovely the duck was a bit too pink my preference. Overall the staff was friendly and attentive, the price is still reasonable. Knock off a star because no hot drinks.

Excellent restaurant, food tasted great and staff friendly. Parking to the side of building, wheelchair friendly entrance and WC. No lift for accommodation if you wanted to stay. Reasonable priced food menu with day time special offers.

Poosie Nansies Inn
21 Loudoun St, MauchlineMy mum and dad were in Mauchline and happened to ask someone where they could get a cup of tea. The amazing landlord told them to take their chips into the pub, the staff went and got milk and made them teas, no charge. My folks were beyond impressed and so touched that anyone would do this. Top marks to an amazing team and a marvellous act of kindness.

25 Loudoun St, MauchlineFirst time we've used this place for takeaways, we would do so again. We ordered a margarita &a mixed calzone &both were delicious. The young girl was fast, efficient &friendly.

Cafe India
6 Kilmarnock Rd, MauchlinePopped in last week on Friday as my son was boxing in the area. I ordered food on my way so it would be ready as i was fasting. The hospitality shown by the owner was second to none when he realised I was travelling from far and ordered food to break my fast. I really appreciated it will be back if we are ever in town again ?
