The Fairburn Hotel
12-14 Loudoun St, MauchlineLOVED THIS HOTEL! The Fairburn Hotel in Mauchline is very much part of Robert Burns History.
I popped in for coffee and immediately got a friendly welcome from staff member Sarah, who was such a good ambassador for the Fairburn. She was attentive, engaging and knowledgeable, even passing on information about nearby famous Burns locations ( and there are lots!).
Although this is a historic old building and, whilst I wasn't staying there, and didn't see the rooms, everywhere else I found to be spotlessly clean ; the foyer, small reception area, bar, restaurant and toilets. I even had a wee walk in the beer garden. It was well layed out with plenty of seating and full of foliage, even in February. The coffee was very nice, and the menu offered plenty of choices and seemed very reasonably priced. Super place.
I will definitely be back and will recommend to others.

3 Kilmarnock Rd, MauchlinePopped in on Saturday morning and what a joy this place is. Dog friendly, human friendly and catered for my gluten free needs. Freshly prepared delicious food and inexpensive. I’ll be back soon. Thanks Castle Cafe ❤️

Poosie Nansies Inn
21 Loudoun St, MauchlineMy mum and dad were in Mauchline and happened to ask someone where they could get a cup of tea. The amazing landlord told them to take their chips into the pub, the staff went and got milk and made them teas, no charge. My folks were beyond impressed and so touched that anyone would do this. Top marks to an amazing team and a marvellous act of kindness.

5 Earl Grey St, MauchlineStayed for a night and we had the dog with us ,we were treated extemly well and staff couldnt have been more helpfull they even greeted the dog lovely. food was well cooked to the way that was asked ,we cant fault it will definately be going back there

25 Loudoun St, MauchlineFirst time we've used this place for takeaways, we would do so again. We ordered a margarita &a mixed calzone &both were delicious. The young girl was fast, efficient &friendly.

Cafe India
6 Kilmarnock Rd, MauchlinePopped in last week on Friday as my son was boxing in the area. I ordered food on my way so it would be ready as i was fasting. The hospitality shown by the owner was second to none when he realised I was travelling from far and ordered food to break my fast. I really appreciated it will be back if we are ever in town again ?
