'A Slice Neapolitan Pizzeria

Ordered roaster pizza on Friday night, had a slight problem with it. Contacted them via email, and received contact straight away. Problem was dealt with quickly and without fuss. Great customer service definitely will be ordering again. The fresh chilli's are fresh and pack a punch.

Just had a meal at Pepe’s in Ayr and it hit the spot! I went for the chicken and rice box with a side of peri-salted fries and a drink. The chicken was juicy, tender, and well-marinated with a nice bit of spice that didn’t overpower the flavour. The rice was hot, fluffy, and soaked up the sauce perfectly.

The peri-salted fries were crispy with just the right amount of seasoning – addictive stuff. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was served hot and fresh.

Service was friendly, the place was clean, and my order came out quickly even though they were busy. Overall, really tasty food at a fair price – I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Ayr.

I have always driven past but never stopped, until yesterday evening on a long drive from the Isles back to Castle Douglas.

We were 3 adults and 2 kids. We arrived about 20:30 and although it was empty we were able to enjoy a great meal.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Our kids don’t like spice but they made them the food they like.

For the adults, we also had varied needs.

Portions were adjusted to meet those needs and the food was really good.

Lovely poppadoms and spiced onions. Lovely pakoras and the curries were varied and tasty.

I can only recommend this place and hope to return the next time I am passing.

Only tip I would give to the owner would be better signposting. For guests it is best to enter the address as the way off the A/M77 isn’t so obvious.

Had a family get together to celebrate a birthday and decided to try out Maggies Bar and Kitchen in Kilmarnock. What a pleasant place to eat and the choice on the menu was great. Our orders were taken quickly though there was a wee wait for our meals to be served up. This was more than compensated by the quality and presentation of our food. Also in the places favour was that it was dog friendly, so we did not have to leave our four legged friend in the car! Will we be back ? Yes ? PS make sure you are hungry as the portions are large.

The Jewel in the crown is a hidden gem in the heart of Kilmarnock. Cat, the hostess/front of house/server and all round diamond is a wonderful host serving the best of Indian cuisine lovingly cooked by her husband. Wonderful atmosphere, great welcome and service and phenomenal food - all at a reasonable cost. I cannot recommend this Jewel enough.

My partner and I stopped in last night for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Given the price point, we expected standard pub fare, but the food exceeded our expectations. I had the chef’s special chicken with vegetables, the chicken was cooked perfectly, not dry at all, which is impressive considering how quickly it was served. Kudos to the kitchen for managing that so well. My partner chose the slow-cooked steak, and after trying a bite, I can confirm it was incredibly tender.

For starters, mains, drinks, and coffees, the total was under £55 excellent value for the quality. Overall, a great experience, and we’d definitely return.

Got chips and cheese with a single sausage. Sausage was spot on, very tasty. Good quality of potatoes for the chips and were cooked right, not soggy. Only negative for me was the cheese(that's not on Bonnyton cafe though but just my preference) as I prefer a stronger cheddar on my chips. Lovely service and a good chippy though. Will need to try a fish supper or half pizza crunch supper next.

Food is terrific and the staff are lovely. Parking is not bad as there is a bit near Frydays that you can park at. But recently that parking bit has been full with the winter wonderland event at Dean Castle. Other than that, the place is great, I highly recommend, and also its good to go to since The Plaice To Be is shut, maybe forever. Some people were saying the Plaice to be was coming back, but it hasn't, so maybe that was somewhere else, but it said Kilmarnock, and there only is one in Kilmarnock I think.Parking: Not bad, you can park outside the shop and in a little concrete parking area as I mentioned in my review. The bit behind the shop however is reserved for employees only. Not sure if that is the case for delivery drivers.Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome and I don't see how they wouldn't be, so bring your kids if you like and they will have a great time watching all the staff make their food.

We meet up on a Friday night and I am the driver. I like pints and drink four or five on a Friday Night. I drink Becks Blue as I find it the most suitable for multiple drinks. After paying as much as £7 for a pint, we discovered Wetherspoons and real value for money. My pint costing less than a standard pint in other venues.\nAt 10pm we fancied one plate of chips and we were brought a large plate without fuss. It was fresh hot and crispy delicious. \nSo worth supporting this Chain as it constantly gives value and \nwholesome food with pleasant and helpful staff

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch. A friend and I ordered Steak Pie which was fab! Other friends all ordered roast beef, which was a bit tough this time, however they all agreed they would return and try again. Desserts were very good and homemade. Service was excellent. Super-friendly and very attentive. Atmosphere was a little quiet but it was improving when we left.

My mum and I called in on Sunday and we fell in love with the old charm of the beautiful house, the delightful gardens and an overwhelming feeling of stepping back into the past.
Ruth, was so kind and the service you couldn't fault.
We sat outside in the courtyard garden, with the flowers and it's Victorian charm.

Arrived during lunch and although all tables were full, I was given a seat across from a lady who had offered to allow someone a seat at her table. We fell into pleasant conversation, while ate our delicious food, served promptly by very helpful and efficient staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The restaurant was clean. It was my first visit, I so regret not having found it sooner. Prices were very reasonable. I will definitely be back many times.

Come here often, first time trying one of the curries though. Genuinely the best Indian curry I've ever had. Brilliant, massive naan too. Ridiculously cheap for the quality. Other items I've had in the past like the hoagies, the pakora, the pizza were all great too, but the curry was on another level.
