The Bothy, Auchincruive, AyrFood was great. Staff were friendly. They are dog friendly. Have lovely gardens to walk round and they are next to a riverside path.
There's a lovely outdoor seating area that has a covered section that means it's still usable in the scottish rain

The Smithy
Sandyford Toll Roundabout, Monkton, PrestwickWe passed by quite often when on our way to Ayr for our weekly breakfast. We then decided to book and try this place out, as it’s always quite busy.
What a lovely place, smiling friendly staff.
Dog friendly too which is always a bonus.
Food is prepared to order, so everything is fresh and really nice with fairly good ingredients.
They could update a bit the decor which is a bit tired and maybe add some daily specials for brunch. We use to go for brunch every Saturday and when the menus are small we get bored quite easily.
But a part of this a place we would happily return to.
A pleasant surprise. Well done guys.
