Since being refurbished during Covid, the Central ha re-opened solely as a take-away. The fish and chips are now much more how I remember in the past; probably the best in the area. Fresh, tasty, crispy - and always friendly service.
Was in the area for a holiday and was recommended this place, good recommendation! Food was great and the staff were all friendly. Note, they're only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings

Lovely as usual. Everything cooked fresh and done perfectly. Nice, crisp batter, perfectly done haddock and no grease. Chips are nice and fluffy. Massive portion as well. Everybody in the shop is really friendly. One of my favourite chippies, always come here when in the area.
