I stayed 6 nights and it was wonderful! The owner and staff made me feel most welcome and were warm and helpful, while also most professional. Efficient, clean, lovely service with a small hotel feel. I loved my room, great breakfast and charming pub. I would love to return to this gem in the beautiful town of Sanquhar!
Didn't stay so can't comment on rooms.Had a meal on The thursday evening & could not fault a thing the service, food, everything was spot on. Went back for Sunday dinner & were disappointed, the meat was dry, the veg & roast potatoes soggy. we found even getting a drink took at least 20 minutes & it was no busier than it had been on previous visit. Had a wonderful Family Sunday Dinner today . Food was lovely, staff and service excellent and good value for money too.Forgot to take photos until dessert arrived. The roast meats and fresh seasonal veg were cooked to perfection and the homemade desserts were delicious. Staff very attentive too.
