Staying in Stranraer for the day, walking round the town and came upon 'The Pub' by chance. Went in initially for a drink, then decided to have something to eat, was not disappointed. The food was seriously good, and the staff were very friendly and courteous. Would highly recommend a visit if your in the area.
Manager was really friendly, came over to introduce himself, was very knowledgeable about the area.We didn't eat here, but they do serve food. We were in on Sunday evening. And the manager saw some girls pick up the menu, he rushed over to say they were nearly out off everything, but he would make sure the kitchen staff could rustle something up if they needed to eat. I will definatley be back.

Great pub. The staff could not be more friendly. We went in for a meal but due to a family emergency they were not serving food. The landlord offered us a free drink and allowed us to buy takeaway food and bring it back to eat. He even provided plates and cutlery. We stayed all night for drinks and to watch the live band. What a great night.
