The Dartmouth Arms

Visited with friends on a Friday night. Early on the place was full of drinkers and a few people waiting for takeaway pizza, we were the only ones eating in.
Both the food and the beer were excellent and would get full marks anywhere.
The landlady and barmaid were more interested in chatting to customers in the bar or going out for a cigarette than serving and the place just looked tired.

I appreciate that this is a country pub and the they seem to do a good service for locals with excellent beer and a takeaway pizza, and the chef has a real talent. However, the place needs an injection of money to tidy it up and the staff need an injection of enthusiasm.
