Lovely little cafe. They don't do fast food, just good food as far as possible. It is all prepared as ordered. The coffee is very good. The BLT sandwich was very good but you need a large mouth or a lot of squashing to get it in.

This is a family run establishment and has been for a number of years. It's imperative to book for Sunday lunch as it is always heavily attended. There is normally a choice of three roast meats with specific accompanying items, crackling, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding etc. Vegetables are served separately along with gravy and sauces. Puddings are usually a good choice of regular favourites with Biscoffi sundae a particular liking of mine. Everything is cooked as if "mum" was in the kitchen and that's because she is! Sharon is a hidden gem appearing rosy cheeked at the end of a marathon session to have a chat and check that everyone are happy with their experience. A well stocked bar along with a cheery greeting from Tom and Dan supported with good regular staff at table speaks volumes for this lovely country pub that's just like home from home.

Had this place saved on our trip route from a year ago, finally visited yesterday while out on trip visiting County tops. Was worth the stop, the food was good, the staff happy and helpful and a nice place to recover after a 4am start, up one 425m hill, next a 540m hill with energy from a good breakfast and a proper mug of tea.You know it's a good stop when afterwards in walks the local fire brigade on their break, as well as workers and farmers having a break. Will recommend to others.Vegetarian options: Didn't fancy a lot but Beans on Toast with Mushrooms and Eggs was enough for the rest of the day, good portion and price.Parking: Easy signage off road to behind village hall, with large car park.
