Came here for Sunday lunch after reading good reviewsThe place itself seemed to have a good atmosphere with localsStarter was delicious and all party were happy with theirs so had high hopes - until mains arrived . I visited The Pheasant last week to see if they served coffee only. To my delight the answer was “yes”. Having looked at the menu, and as it was only 12 noon, I decided to order a bowl of leek and potato soup with granary bread. I have to say that this was delicious and piping hot. The menu was quite extensive and I was amazed at the number of people arriving for a meal. It is obviously a popular venue. So glad we decided to try this place out, the food was absolutely gorgeous and the portions were huge! I had the pan fried chicken and my husband the fish and chips, both rated our meals 8.5/10. Finished off with desserts which did not disappoint, highly recommend the bread and butter pudding....PLEASE never take this off your menu and I will be returning over and over. Music was great in the background and staff were all very friendly and helpful!
