This used to be the Hobgoblin, but had a major refurb and reopened as the Black Fox several years ago. At first I thought it seemed a bit soulless and expensive, but it has now settled down to be a good, comfortable pub, with a reasonable range of beers and a good food selection.
Excellent service on a very busy Saturday. Great selection of drinks. We actually left to go to another pub, where we had a table booked for the rugby, but service was horrendous so we gave up and returned to the black fox. We decided wisely that their selection of local gins was a much better option than watching Scotland beat England!

Stayed in Bath for a couple of nights over the weekend and came across this gem.Great bar staff and a wonderful selection of local beers and spirits. My favourite was the Spiced Rum with Hot Ginger Beer.My wife loved the vodka and light Tonic.The mixers were by approval of HRH Prince of Wales!!Food menu looked good but on this occasion we didn't partake.Another time.Give it a go as the atmosphere was really relaxing
