About Brean Down Cafe

Brean Down Cafe is a fabulous National Trust cafe located right by the beach. While the outside may not be the most appealing, the interior is lovely, especially the cosy upstairs lounge with comfortable seating, a second-hand book shop, and activities for little ones. The cafe offers great coffee, good views, and a pleasant atmosphere to take a break. The cafe has a large car park, which is free for National Trust members, at the far north end of Brean Sands. It features a sea wall terrace and an upstairs lounge where visitors can watch the sea. The friendly staff serve a variety of cakes, including vegan and pre-packed gluten-free options, as well as a lovely cream tea and coffee. The menu also includes drinks, ice cream, and a good selection of meals. While there are two cafes at Brean Down, the National Trust Cove Cafe on the seafront is the one with the best reviews. It offers lovely beach views from the upstairs seating, and the fish and chips, although a small portion, are reported to be nice.
