My Mum's ashes are scattered near here, so once a year or more this is where we enjoy a meal/family treat, and it never fails to impress. I love the Ship Inn for its welcoming atmosphere (kids and dogs friendly, luckily for me and my anarcharchic lot), which is hard to come by when me a my noisy rabble attempt public civilisation ?. The ship has been up and down for years but the current owners are doing a fantastic job, food is excellent and it's kept very clean. Well worth a visit if you find yourself in uphill.

Great pub. Extremely welcoming. Landlord was very hospitable.. especially with our 4 legged friends. Good food at good value. Dog friendly. Great after a long dog walk around uphill.
