Visited this restaurant for my birthday. From the moment we entered, the service was spot on very attentive but not overbearing. The choice of food was very good and the quality was superb. A very enjoyable evening. We have already re-booked for another special occasion.
Delicious food very friendly and attentive staff. Welcome dogs too. Wood burning fire adds to the already cosy atmosphere. Menu changed daily. Can sit in restaurant or bar where locals congregate. Great walks nearby and interesting shops. Love it we will be back!Vegetarian options: Ask beforehand as menus changed daily and vegetarian only available if you request

As always, great food, wine and ambience. I had braised Northcombe lamb (from their own farm), with liver and root vegetables faultlessly cooked and presented. Friends' risotto declared 'the best ever'. A range of excellent cheeses and a great value bottle of inky Aussie cab sauv. Been coming here for years - consistently brilliant.
