Staying not far from the centre The Crown was a perfect location and staff were very friendly and speedy service. Very surprised by the cuisine how tasty it was and arranged beautifully on the plate. Definitely I will recommend this place to eat . ?.
The best cheesy chips we have ever had. Crispy right through the whole bowl. Great chicken wings, too. Staff were friendly. The sheppys cider was perfect. Dogs allowed outside only, I understand not all pubs allow dogs in, we left ours so could sit inside for more cheesy chips, only to be in the snug when a guy came in with two kids and shut the door, saying I come in here and shut the door because it's like a free cresh. After a tasteful and approximate refurbishment The Crown has new life! It's comfortable and clean and the food is amazing. The staff are very friendly and the place has a great overall vibe. Lovely addition of the little "nooks" to cozy away time in. The Crown is 100% worth a visit.
