Went here for a carvery without booking. Very busy place and people usually have to book as it's popular. Didn't take too long to pay and get carvery. I think there was a choice of four meats (beef, pork, turkey and can't remember the last meat). A small selection of veg and Yorkshire pudding. The gravy was nice and thick. I enjoyed my dinner but my wife's turkey was grissly which was disappointing other than that everything was good. There is an area for playing darts and snooker...read full review

As Americans, we were told we needed to try a proper Sunday Roast in Britain. The Queen's Head certainly delivered! Fantastic meats, great side dishes, and the best horseradish we've tasted!

Only open Friday to Sunday, which is a shame. A pub with a ‘locals’ feel… including a pool table, darts and juke box… which you don’t find enough of these days. We stopped here for a drink and sat in the outside area. We felt very welcome.
