Totally traditional pub. Not a revamped Into a restaurant type. Food is basic filling and good. Beers from the Barrel. No glitz no fuss. Great place to reset just sit,chat and drink in the history with your Beer.
Excellent country pub which feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. Simple country decor inside (it was a dark cold November evening when we visited, so didn't venture outside much, apart from the trip to the toilets). Real ales served on gravity, and a range of proper ciders are available. Food is hearty and wholesome, including some spectacularly strong cheese and onion rolls and warming macaroni cheese. Great pub, have always considered it my ‘local’ even though I live 9 miles away! Don’t expect to get cappuccino or chips here but you get great, tasty food that won’t break the bank. Great local beers & ciders are served, usually straight from the barrel.
