We came to the pub today for Sunday lunch with my daughter and my father. The setting is very comfortable and attractively furnished; the staff were lovely and most of our food was MAGNIFICENT! My daughter loved her "kids' roast", my husband had the Duke Burger which was very tasty (although he had asked for no mayo or slaw and was a bit disappointed when the burger then came out with nothing in it at all, apart from the burger and bun.) As a local I tried the Sunday roast for the first time … was a good roast but have had better elsewhere although the service was first class the staff went above and beyond … will definitely go again ??

It was a rainy evening and quiet. 4 of us ate and had mixed reviews. My friends had the coconut curry and said it was ok. They said it was missing something in taste and the portion size wasn’t great for the cost. My other friend had a steak which she said was better than miller & Carter. I had the pasta and ragu. Again it was ok but missing something in the flavour.
