Madge decided we should visit Barnsley for the first time ever. We checked the CAMRA 2023 Good Beer Guide and found this bar, only a 15 minute walk from Barnsley Interchange. Once across the ring road we entered a lovely area where the bar is situated. Lovely two room interior, great decor and four real ales ( Madge ordered Madri lager). Cracking place that ticks every box. Great beers, decent prices and fantastic staff. The landlord is very friendly and will not serve what he believes to be a sub-par pint. Highly recommended.

A top class conversion from an old Co-op corner shop - well worth the walk up here. Great choice of 4 cask ales - would gladly stay for another if I hadn’t got to move on - there’s a great vibe in here Looks like the beer garden is getting a make over.
