I've been a Cresswell Street resident for just short of a decade. I've seen many people take over The Friery and in my opinion, fail miserably. The new owners are kind, welcoming and bloody brilliant cooks! I popped over last week for some lunch and was asked if I wanted today's special - fish pie and cauliflower cheese. This has to be the best chippy in Barnsley we’ve tried the fish is massive ( shark springs to mind )really good value for money and the couple that run it are the loveliest people so friendly and welcoming. If you want a decent portion of quality fish and chips this is the

Went in this evening for some fish and chips for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Also the lady and gentleman behind the counter were extremely helpful also with a big smile on there faces!!! Keep up the good work guys and we will be back sooner rather then later!
