The first time I went to the Wisewood was mid week for a light lunch inside it was busy but not crowded and staff were busy and efficient. Light lunch arrived quickly and delivered by pleasant, efficient and helpful staff ready to help with all any requests. The second time was for a Sunday roast with my grandson and his fiancée. Quaint little pub. We've been a few times for Sunday dinner, we love it. Best to book in advance for food as it gets booked up quick. Great choice for meats for Sunday dinner, good portions, speedy service and the cheese sauce is to die for! Couldn't ask for more ?

Fantabulosi. Not too expensive fish and chips. No skin on the fish. The batter was to die for. Chips were wunderbar. Will be going there again. The last time I went there was 40 years ago when I went to a party a couple of hundred yards away! How time flies!
