Decent! Pleasant barmaid, good lager and doggo friendly! Fire was lit so was nice and cosy after a walk around the Shugborough estate. Nice, large beer garden. Felt like the heart of the village, which is always a nice thing to experience.
Arrived on a February Wednesday lunchtime with muddy walking boots and 4 dogs. Very busy - but made very welcome by locals and staff. Good beer and huge food portions. Lovely friendly vibe. Highly recommended.

We use to call in from our walks some years ago and thought we’ll try again purposely for the hot beef in garlic butter and nothing had changed it was as good if not better than it always was also we arrived a little late and the staff agreed to serve us I thank you Clifford arms for a lovely afternoon and will definitely call
