4 of us had a meal last night (Wednesday), although the service was a little slow due to staff shortages. The meals made up for it though.The food was absolutely scrumptious, 4 clear plates, my steak was perfect.I was well looked after with a lovely light treacle sponge and a ample amount of custard. Wow….Complements to the chef and staff
Great pub with proper pub food in addition to a wider choice. Breakfast, lunch and evening meal visits all with good service from helpful friendly staff and tasty food. Worth a walk from Eccleshall along safe country roads (not the main Eccleshall - Newport Road).

Never been before and visited with a friend. Although was quiet as a Friday lunchtime, loved the inside, was cosy and good atmosphere. Staff were lovely, friendly, and good service. Food was great value for money, big portions. Definitely will recommend.
