Been here today to celebrate my husband's,70th birthday. Always have a very warm welcome. The staff are really nice and friendly. Been here loads of times over the years and there is always a lovely atmosphere. The food is always cooked really nice and there is plenty of choice. In the summer you can sit outside which is really nice or have a game of pool inside. If you don't want a meal there is a lovely sitting area insidewhich is nice and comfortable. really good home made food. we've been regularly, . the steak and Guinness pie is highly recommended. I had the liver with crisybacon and onions with mash which was excellent. Liver isn't everyone's cup of tea, my husband hates it, so I don't eat it at home.

A very friendly welcome, with good beer on an autumnal Wednesday lunchtime.Appeals to an older clientele at this time of day, but none the worse for that.Comfortable corners and plenty of dining tables.
