On a very cold December day we chose to visit Shotley purely to enjoy lunch at The Bristol Arms. As always the welcome was warm and the food was excellent. Well worth a visit whatever the weather.
Really good quality food in a nice local pub, fish meat and veggie options for all.Dog friendly and our lab was welcomed with treats, very friendly atmosphere and great service, highly recommended, reasonably priced too, parking nearby and only a short 5-10 minute walk from the Harwich foot ferry. Great views across the estuary.

The pub is lovely, the staff were very good but the chef needs a different career, if you cannot cook fish and chips or a burger properly then please move on ?The food here is it's let down such a shame ?
