Oldest pub claim, so swung by and yes the core of the building is old but has been sympathetically extended to retain character. The service was warm friendly and quick. Food cooked to order including a catch of the day fish. It arrived piping hot and was good honest trencherman fayre. The pub has a large family friendly garden that leads out to a sea view. Didn't go to eat, it was a place that was chosen for a meeting with friends. The bar staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. I would recommend this place to meet up with your family and

Best pub around lowestoft area for sure.One of my all time favourites, will always come for a beer with the Mrs,Pool table and music are both class.Food is amazing ?Kid-friendliness: Has a play park in the beer garden. Great for kidsParking: Plenty if parking, plus more beach parking round the corner
