“We booked for a Saturday evening following the Horseracing. The pub was very busy but the restaurant itself was very quiet. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The menu was very good. Such a nice dilemma when you don’t know what to choose. In the end we had a steak pie and a chicken breast with ham and mushroom sauce which was delicious. Very tasty, well presented food. The beer and the wine was good too. We will be back. Highly recommended when in the area.”

“This is long overdue and I write this as someone who was here extremely briefly on the 13th October after Newmarket races. Myself and a few others absolutely legged it to this pub to try and escape the torrential rain and needless to say we got soaked. Upon arrival we got welcomed like entering a family home and was offered, food, drink and dry clothes!! We took them up on the drink and the lovely barlady gave me a black neck oil t shirt which is what I've just found indoors and the reason why I'm writing this post! The staff were so friendly, asked us about our day and were just 10/10 for our short stop - they even offered us a lift back to the station to catch our next train! When I return to Newmarket races, I will 100% be attending here before and after. Thanks again all.Jordan”

“We spent 2 nights at the hotel and it was a very nice experience: very nice and kind staff, cosy, warm and clean room, pretty wide breakfast options , from the classic European breakfast to the classic British breakfast with a few options. The hotel is combined with a pub, offering the chance to have a drink at the end of the day surrounded by locals, tourists and business people: the hotel is on the main street of Newmarket, but the very good range of dishes offer to anyone the chance to have lunch and or dinner within the walls of the hotel. A nice carpark is a great plus as well. We would definitely recommend to stay at the White Hart Hotel because of the style and personality of it, and the very welcoming staff, we will definitely be back at the White Hart when passing by Newmarket.”
