Many pluses including excellent breakfast and lovely staff. The bar area is not very comfortable and as we got stranded due to storm no where relaxing to settle E. G with sofas. Bedroom clean and comfortable but duvet very lumpy. Bar and staircase needed a thorough clean. Dinners were variably. Mackerel delicious but fish and chips not so good (batter burnt). A great value place to stay - the staff were very attentive despite being very busy, and treated us really well (and loved our dog).It was a little chilly in the bar when we were having dinner - this isn't really a criticism as it was lovely weather that day despite being the end of September and the door had been left open (which is understandable). Everyone was very welcoming and the pub was so nice, we have a big dog who is still a puppy plus a 3 yr old (going on 15! ) so things are a bit of a handful. The pub was a great mix of old world with modern touches and really is in an idyllic location.Thank you for a lovely stay
