Great Chinese takeaway. One of the best around. I used to live locally but now in spite of the fact I moved 40minutes away, whenever I'm passing and fancy a takeaway I still go there. Simon is simply a great cook and deserves to be recommended.
Only second time we have actually came here, food is always good, normally prices for a Chinese. Staff are friendly, as it's near a pub and the only parking is on the street sometimes it's difficult to find a space but if not we park at the co-op, small interior which could do with a lick of paint but as long as the food is good what's the difference.

Just enjoyed a nice Chinese takeaway from the Lantern in Clare. I ordered egg fried rice, sweet and sour pork (hong kong style), and beef Chow mein and prawn crackers.My only complaint would be that they are so very stingy with the prawn crackers.. the portion was miniscule (like 10 crackers in the bag)..It's just a shame that what is probably the cheapest part to produce of the meal is the part that took the edge off the whole experience of buying food from here.
